A well-designed sales funnel can help you direct potential customers through the sales process so that they buy from you and stay loyal customers. A sales funnel can help companies determine the most effective way to get their target audience's attention to overcome objections, improve engagement. This will ultimately, increase sales.

This is the first step to make your target audience aware about your business as your audience probably don't know about you at all. This can be done by positioning advertisements where your target market will be able to see them, releasing press releases, writing keyword-rich blog posts or holding free webinars. The goal is to get your prospects to sign up for your email list or join your social media accounts since they are interested in what you have to say.


2. Keep Them Involved

You have now gained the prospect's attention by including them on your email list. Keep their interest and provide additional value. The objective is to teach them more about your services and products, and how you know their problems and can solve these issues. The information you provide them may still be similar to what you sent them at the time of attention (blog posts or eBooks etc.). The information you provide them during this stage should be more specific.

3. Take into account

The prospect is now aware that they require the product or service. To decide if your product is right for them, they will require more information. Getting personal with your audience in this moment will allow them to understand how your products will solve their problem and get them to believe in you more.

Use webinars, consultation calls, testimonials, and product demonstrations from customers who say the way your product or service has done for them.

Once prospects have been identified, you must immediately start the lead qualification process. This is where most of the action is. The quicker you can sort leads, the quicker you move through the funnel to turn the lead into a sale. This is the stage where you need to keep in contact with the potential buyer.

You can ask them questions or inquire with them about what content they enjoy. Make their user experience remarkable. Engage them (sometimes called nurturing). This is the most effective method to build a loyal customer base in the near future.

Once they have been engaged, you are now able to provide value to them. There are many avenues to help them: reports and infographics, tips sheets, responding to inquiries, free consultations, or offering information. Your ability to create value can help you get the funnel down effortlessly.

You must delight all your visitors! It is important that customers feel satisfied when they visit your site. Last but not least, thank them for taking the time to communicate with you. It will make their service exceptional.

4. Intent

The prospect has now decided to buy the product. Now they must determine which one is the most suitable for them. Your blog posts will create confidence in your readers about the superior products and services you provide. Or, an email newsletter can help you stand apart as an authority.

5. Evaluation

The potential customer is already convinced they need a product like yours. In this moment, you're trying to convince them that you're the person to do the job and not anyone else. It's possible to do this through a variety kinds of content. These include product-focused reports, webinars and limited time coupons or consultations to encourage buying right away.

6. Buy Stage

This is the where your prospect is able to make a purchase. However, your work isn't over. The sales funnel is re-opened. Your customer should be introduced to your products and then placed in a fresh sales funnel. It is more likely that they will buy from you again if they have previously purchased from you. This is because they trust that you will solve their problems.

A well-structured sales funnel can turn leads into customers, and then your company will be on autopilot.
